This area of Wester Ross and Skye has lots to see and do. There are walks and climbs to suit all, from coastal and forest paths to the mountains such as the Five Sisters of Kintail and the Cuillins of Skye. It is an area ideal for other outdoor pusuits such as sailing,canoeing,cycling. As well as Eilan Donan castle, there are many other historical sites, well preserved brochs at Glenelg,Armadale castle and grdens, Duvegan castle etc. Kyle of Lochalsh has shops,hotels,petrol station,a bank, tourist information office and swimming pool with leisure facilities. The picturesque village of Plockton is again only 8 miles from the cottage, with it's magnificent bay used for sailing and boating.
