Property description
The whole of the lower ground floor of this handsome house has been made into a modern self catering appartment by Lucy Perriam who lives above. Entrance is through a gate in the railings down stone steps. There are two doubles (one Queen, one King) and a single bedroom, with a shower room, large kitchen/living room and access through french doors to a stone flagged courtyard where you can sit our for lunch or a drink and BBQ in the evenings.
The sitting room features an Aga style cooker (electric and gas), and big flat screen TV (freeview and DVD), with comfortable modern corner sofa. There is a pull out dining table and chairs. Large bookshelves contain an interesting assortment of fiction and non fiction books which you are welcome to peruse. The kitchen contains sink, micro wave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. All bed linen, towels, hairdryer, electricity and heating and WI-Fi for laptops are included.
Lucy provides complimentary breakfast foods for your first morning.

Area description
Around the corner is North Castle Street and then you are on Princes Street with Edinburgh Castle straight ahead. From here you can walk to virtually anywhere in Edinburgh and there are masses of places to eat and drink literally on your doorstep, and a convenience store and supermarket just up the road.
Because Lucy lives above she is on hand and delighted to advise about local shops and restaurants, and indeed anything to make your stay more enjoyable. She can also lend you keys for the private Queen Street Gardens just opposite the apartment.
