Property description
America Cottage is a bungalow, built in the 1960s and upgraded to include a well equipped kitchen with deep freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash-hand basin and w.c. There is a large lounge area with dining area off (L-shaped), picture window, sofa and chairs, satellite TV, and hi-fi. There are games and books also provided in case of wet weather! There are three bedrooms, a double, and two twins. The beds are very comfortable and linen and towels are provided. The cottage is set within open grounds and is just perfect for relaxing in peace and quiet. There is a barbeque and garden table and chairs, a lawn, and also plenty of car parking space. A car is essential.

Area description
America Cottage is just over a mile from the village of West Linton, which has good facilities for shopping, eating, there is a 'hole in the wall' bank, two hair salons, and a wonderful bookshop. Nearby there is Whitmuir Organics www.whitmuirorganicplace.co.uk,Traquair House, the oldest inhabited house in Scotland which hosts excellent festivals throughout the year, www.traquair.co.uk,famous Dawyck botanic Gardens are nearby, www.rbge.org.uk/dawyck, and the famous Stobo Castle health spa for that special day out for a treat www.stobocastle.co.uk. The Pentland Hills afford many wonderful walks for all abilities, cycling and horseriding also in the Regional Park www.pentlandhills.org. Edinburgh is an easy drive away by car, or you can take a bus from the various Park and Ride facilities around the City Bypass.
