Ardtur Cottages Port Appin

The cottages are at the end of a private drive, about half a mile from the public road, 100 yards from Ardtur house and a little further from the farm and loch. A gravel and grass yard outside allows plenty of room for parking and for sitting in the sun, away from all traffic. The seashore, some 150 yards away, is approached over a stile and across a field. Dinghies can be launched from the shoreline, subject to long hauls at low tide. The cottages are served by the Ardtur private water supply, which may be coloured by the peat during summer months. They are old fashioned, quiet and rural - ideal for a 'get-away-from-it-all' family holiday.

Garden Cottage accommodation: Downstairs - Hall, very large living room with kitchen area, double bedroom, bathroom with WC, separate shower room with WC. Steep stairs to attic. Upstairs: 3 attic double bedrooms, one of which is approached through another.
Amenities: Open fire in living room, electric cooker and fridge. Immersion heater for hot water. Kitchen area contains all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, electric kettle, toaster and microwave. Colour television in sitting area. Each room has an electric convector heater. The cottage has basic cleaning utensil and a vacuum cleaner
There is a 4'6" double bed downstairs and 6 single 3' beds upstairs. All beds are supplied with duvets, pillows and blankets but not linen. Please bring with you sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers, towels and drying up cloths.
Bank Cottage accomadation and amenities are similar except there are only two attic bedrooms and one bathroom
A laundry room with a coin-operated washing machine, tumble drier, and ironing board with iron, is available for use by both cottages in the lean-to building adjacent to Bank Cottage. Both cottages also share a clothesline in the yard.
