Pendeen Lighthouse to Cape Cornwall (0.5 miles)
Start at Pendeen Watch Lighthouse for a spectacular coastal walk through some of Cornwall's old mining district. The coast path hugs dramatic cliffs for about three miles to Cape Cornwall, England's only cape and the point at which the Atlantic currents split. If you're feeling energetic, extend your walk another four miles or so along the coast to the beautiful sandy beach at Sennen. Look out for seals and sea birds along your way.

Pendeen Farmers' Market (0.8 miles)
About a dozen local producers sell meat, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, cakes, bread and preserves at this farmers' market, held indoors at the Centre of Pendeen on the first and third Saturday of every month, 10am -1pm.
Geevor Tin Mine (1.1 miles)
Up until 1990, Geevor was still a working mine.Have lunch in the cafe overlooking the Atlantic, eating home made pasties which are second to none! Go on an underground tour.
Walk along the south west coast path north from Atlantic Heights towards Gunnards Head with its sandy beach also, and have lunch in the nearby hotel rated in Cornwalls top food guide. Walk back over the penwith moors via monolithic Lanyon Quoit, and Chun quoit and castle ruins taking part in one of the UK's most scenic walks.
The nearest sandy beach to the Atlantic Heights is Portheras Cove, reached via the coastal footpath at Pendeen Lighthouse or from its OWN footpath taking 15 mins. Watch out for the pods of dolphins or the resident seals and their pups swimming in the cove. A bit further away include famous Whitesands bay at Sennen cove, 3 miles of beautiful sand. Sennen (5miles) is excellent for surfing and very safe for children. St Ives (9 miles) has three wonderful beaches, Porthminster, Porthmeor and Carbis bay.
Marazion (9 miles) on the south coast, opposite the famous St Micheal's Mount, is good for sailing, waterskiing, paragliding, jetskiiing, windsurfing, and gig rowing. Heading back along the coast in the lands end direction from Penzance (7 miles) include the Newlyn harbour(famous for its fish industry), Mousehole famous for its literary cat and christmas lights spectacle, Lamorna, Penberth, Porthcurno(famous Minack Theatre) and Porthgwarra coves. Finally you reach the great spectacle of Land's End. From Marazion heading eastwards towards the lizard peninsula , Prussia cove, Perranuthoe and Praa sands are well worth a visit. Beyond here the majestic Helford river beckons with its deep wooded valleys falling away to the mysterious creeks made famous by the author Daphne Du Maurier.
