Property description
Situated in the peaceful outskirts of the picturesque village of Warkworth, not far from the historic castle, we have been providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests for many years.
ACCOMMODATION:
DOUBLE BEDROOM: The double bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite with large walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and complimentary toiletries.
It is well presented with LCD TV with Freeview, alarm-clock radio and hairdryer. Guests can enjoy a selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits, or indulge in some complimentary chocolates.
This bedroom has views of the back garden from the first floor.
There is Free Wi-Fi Internet Access in the room.
TWIN-BEDDED ROOM: The twin-bedded room is decorated in soft greens and aubergine. It has LCD TV with Freeview, alarm-clock radio and hairdryer.
Enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and biscuits, available in your room, after an enjoyable day visiting the many attractions in the area, or have a chocolate or two!
There is a wash basin in the room and a separate private bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
The bedroom overlooks the front garden and is on the first floor.
Free Wi-Fi Internet Access is available in the room.
DINING ROOM: The dining room is a pleasant sunny room for breakfast, furnished with family antiques.
We offer a varied menu, including a delicious home-cooked full English Breakfast, and for those wishing something lighter, there is fruit, yoghurt, cereal, fruit juice, warm toasts, both wholemeal and white, my own homemade preserves, and various teas and coffees.Wherever possible, we use local produce including our popular sausages, locally produced bacon, and free-range local eggs.
Packed lunches can be provided - if ordered in advance. (preferably at time of booking.)
GARDEN: The colourful front garden
The garden at the front of the house is available for the guests' use. There is a pleasant seat to enjoy the flowers and many birds that visit our garden.

Area description
WARKWORTH is an historic village with an ancient church. It is situated in a bend of the river Coquet, famous for salmon fishing and dominated by it's mediaeval castle. (The setting for Shakespeare's Henry IV).
ALNWICK CASTLE, which lies 7 miles away, is home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.
Visit the now famous Alnwick Garden, with something different to see as each season changes.
DUNSTANBURGH CASTLE , lies on the coast a few miles north of Warkworth.
Dunstanburgh Castle can be reached either from the north or from Craster on the south.
