Our climate is typically mild from the prevailing west wind which sweeps across Scotland's west coast over the warm Gulf Stream Drift, but sudden rain showers can be a feature of this weather pattern so it is always wise to bring "wellies and waterproofs", especially if a sea trip is anticipated!
