Property description
Barony House, formerly situated at 23 Mayfield Gardens, is a lovely Victorian terraced villa , retaining its traditional appearance with some wonderful original cornice work and elegant high ceiling rooms. It is located on a main bus route and easily allows guests to access the city in 10 minutes.
Leo and Susie have been looking after guests in Edinburgh for more than 20 years and their warm welcome excellent service and delicious home cooked breakfast bring people back again and again from all over the world.
Barony House can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people at any one time and we regularly greet single guests on business, couples and families on holiday and whole parties in Edinburgh for weddings and functions, kilts and all!

We have a range of accommodation to suit your needs.
All rooms are en-suite (except for 1 bedroom which has it's own private bathroom, with dressing gowns provided!).
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a complimentary tipple in every room.
All rooms have a desk, colour Freeview TV, hair drier and central heating.
Daily room service.
There are single and double beds to choose from.
We have American king beds (zip and link) so those rooms can be either a double or a twin, so please specify when booking.

There are many excellent visitor attractions to experience during your stay in Edinburgh.
The world famous Edinburgh Castle , the fabulous Royal Botanic Garden , our award winning Zoo or the exciting Dynamic Earth .
Take a stroll through the Historic Old Town and visit one of the many famous restaurants after a night at the Theatre . Or prepare to immerse yourself in the dark, murky and potentially haunted world of Mary Kings Close.
The Palace of Holyrood is well worth a visit and you shouldn't miss a chance to see the old Royal Yacht Britannia .
Edinburgh is alive with Museums and Art Galleries that will take your breath away.
Edinburgh is also home to the Edinburgh Royal Observatory on Blackford Hill
Edinburgh Festival
Edinburgh hosts the largest international arts Festival in the world during August incorporating the Fringe Festival and Film Festival.
The Military Tattoo is held on the atmospheric Castle esplanade and is a once in a lifetime experience.
Christmas Wonderland and Hogmanay
Nowhere in the world is more exciting than Edinburgh at Christmas and New Year . The Hogmanay celebrations in Princes Street are now legendary and with the out door Ice Rink, Ferris Wheel and International Gift Fair in Princes Street Gardens, it is the place to be.
