Beautiful Mountain Cottage in Snowdonia above Bala

Beautiful four berth stone cottage situated in Capel Ceyln, Bala in 20 acres of land. The cottage is quaint and is at least 100 years old. We have attempted to keep its traditional Welsh charm, while ensuring that it is comfortable with modern amenities. There is a stream running around the land. We welcome dogs and well behaved owners!

The cottage has an open plan living area with a traditional wood burning fire. There is a pine dining table and chairs, and a leather settee which converts into a full size double bed. There is a TV with DVD player and a small DVD library. There is Sky TV (as there is no reception via aerial) and a selection of books.

The fully equipped kitchen area has a fridge freezer, electric cooker, combi grill / microwave and a Belfast sink. There is a breakfast bar area with stools and views of the Welsh hills, even a nice view for when you wash the dishes. There is a small washer / dryer.

Through the kitchen is a downstairs toilet and shower room. From the living area, handmade oak stairs lead to the first floor where there are three bedrooms. At the back, with views of the hills, is the master bedroom with king size bed. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably but the bed settee can be used to accomodate up to 6 guests.

Heating is via the wood burning fire, a Calor gas fire, underfloor heating and electric radiators. A solar panel heats the water.

Outside is a private drive to the property, via a farm gate, and there is off road parking for plenty of cars.

20 Acres of land surrounds the property, and you are welcome to use for walking, games etc. There is a barn owl that sometimes comes at dusk, and birds of prey that fly overhead in the daytime. Just remember to bring your wellies as the land does get muddy and is undulating in places. We keep honey bees on the land (approx 100 metres from the house) but these are kept in a fenced area with warning signs and do not tend to bother people.

We have also had wireless internet installed in the cottage.
