Carwinion House and Garden

Carwinion House is a beautiful 18th Century stone manor house tucked away in its own private estate in the lush North Helford area of Cornwall, only a stone's throw from Falmouth.

Today Jane and Anthony Rogers live at Carwinion and their beautiful gardens are open to the public. Jane's cream teas, served on Carwinion's garden terrace, are thought by some to be the best in Cornwall and have to be sampled to be believed. Carwinion is dog friendly and welcomes visitors throughout the year.

The garden is open all year round and there is always something to impress visitors or catch the eye. Visitors can wander among towering dicksonia antarctica, cryptomaria japonica, chusan palms and impressive gunnera as well as colourful rhododendrons and camelias.

Full of beautiful sights, scents and sounds, Carwinion's sensory garden was planted in 2009 with help from the children of nearby Mawnan School to be a haven for anyone who has mobility difficulties or is sight or hearing impaired.

As Cornwall's bamboo garden, we feel it only appropriate that we add our weight to the movement to support the use of bamboo clothing as ethical apparel. We stock many items of bamboo clothing from t-shirts to shorts, socks and swimwear.
