Shanklin is located in the south of the beautiful Isle of Wight which itself is in an Eco-Climate area, where in spring you will find flora and fauna well ahead from that on the mainland.
There are very many absolutely stunning views all over the Island to rival anthing the world has to offer.
Leisure facilities are wide and varied, with a sports complex and heating indoor swimming pool nearby.
Sailing, boating and fishing (freshwater, offshore and deep-sea )facilities are also widely available.
Sandy beaches are everywhere and ours are within a short downhill walk.
Attractions are spread all over the Island - you could go to a different one every day for a month and still not scratch the surface of what is available. Walking is a very popular past time on the Island Walking Festivals occur every year and of course the Island is host to may other Festivals as well - contact the Local Tourist Board ( 01983 823099 ext 5884 )to find out what's on when you plan to visit.
All in all, it's difficult to think of anywhere at all that packs so much in such a small place but still providing scope for peace and quiet when you are looking for the solitude of country areas and deserted beaches.
