Olive Cottage (sleeping 4) and Alpha(sleeping 6) are situated just off the lower High Street and are very convenient for beach, the Downs, shops and many varied restaurants. You may not need to use a car but there is parking; behind Olive Cottage with 1.8m (5' 11”) lockable gates (height restriction), and garage with parking for second car at Alpha.
They are heated throughout and have comfortable sitting rooms with flat-screen television with Freeview and DVD. The fitted kitchens are well equipped including electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, toaster and microwave and have all you would need for a self-catering holiday.
In Alpha bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor. The main bedroom has a 4'6” double bed. The smaller room has 3' wide bunk beds. There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room. On the first floor of Olive is the bathroom and twin bedded room with 3' wide beds. The second floor bedroom with beams has a 4'6” double bed. Pillows and various thickness duvets are provided; if you don't wish to bring your own, towels and bedlinen are available with extra charge to cover laundry costs.
Electricity with heating is included in the price. A cot and high-chair are available at no extra charge.

Families are well catered for with a variety of all-weather attractions, indoor leisure activities and events.
The preserved steam railway has five stations and runs for over six miles.
Beach Gardens have tennis, bowls, putting and refreshments with hire equipment available .Swanage Bay View Holiday Park is a family entertainment centre boasting a heated indoor swimming pool, skittle alley, indoor bowls and trimnasium.
Now restored to its Victorian splendour the pier has free exhibitions, scuba diving and angling, gift shop with hot and cold snacks and drinks, passenger boat trips, boat trips for diving and fishing.
From dinosaurs, through stone, to the modern day, discover the fascinating history of Swanage through interesting displays and films at Swanage Heritage Centre. with shop stocking locally made crafts and gifts.
The historic Tithe Barn gives the story of Swanage and its people from the Jurassic period to the 20th C. Reconstructions of stone quarrying, Lloyds Dispensing Chemists, period grocer's shop and displays of Swanage related maritime models. There are numerous other exhibits, including Dinosaur footprints and fine fossils. The Local Studies Centre provides source material for family/local history research.
A mile from the town is Durlston Country Park with visitor centre and can also be reached by the Dorset Coastal Path. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and offshore waters are part of the Marine Research Area, dolphins are regularly seen from the cliffs. Durlston Castle has bars, snack areas and restaurant.
Studland is so close to Swanage that its coastline is often considered to be an extension of the town's beachfront. It is the beach at Studland that is by far the main attraction, which is managed by the National Trust. Also in Studland are some excellent sites for bird watching, such as Brand's Bay, Shell Bay and Studland Heath.
Sited on the Arne Peninsula and alongside Poole Harbour, is the location of the Arne RSPB reserve and many appealing nature trails, and stands within the acclaimed Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
At Corfe Castle enjoy breathtaking views over the Purbeck Hills from one of the most impressive ruins in England. Find out about the fascinating history of this important royal castle in the family at Castle View.
Putlake Adventure Farm with free parking at Langton Matravers, where visitors are encouraged to explore and make contact with a variety of friendly animals in a relaxed atmosphere. You can bottle feed the lambs and goats and at 4pm have a go at the hand milking. There are indoor and outdoor picnic and play areas, gift shop, tearoom, farm trail to walk, barn owls, ferret racing, pony rides and trailer rides. Also walk through aviary, maze and garden games.
There are craft centres such as the Craft and family centre at Lytchett Minster, nature reserves, adventure farms and lots of interesting museums where you can trace the footsteps of a dinosaur.
Near Wool, view the national collection of armoured fighting vehicles at Bovington tank museum which houses the world's finest indoor collection of more than 150 Armoured Fighting Vehicles from 26 countries. Also near Wool is Monkey World, the ape rescue centre,
The Blue Pool near Wareham is famous for its constantly changing colours which vary from green to turquoise, and is surrounded by 25 acres of tranquil woods and heathland which provide habitat for rare wildlife. There are criss-crossing sandy paths climb to views of the Purbeck Hills or lead down to the water's edge and dogs on leads are welcome. The Tea House offers snacks and delicious Cream Teas. There is a museum, gift shops, Plant Centre, Play area. Some facilities for the disabled.
Wareham's Saturday market is on the Quay and has an abundance of bargains to be found with fresh flowers, local produce and lots more. Purbeck Sports Centre and 25m swimming pool has no membership requirements. There are special holiday activities and a full programme of children's and adult courses for beginners and advanced: swimming lessons, fitness suite, sauna and sunbed, cafe, creche and playzone, badminton, squash, golf,circuits, aerobics and step, floodlit tennis courts.

Music lovers are spoilt for choice - popular Jazz, Blues and Folk weekends are scattered throughout the year.
