Cobbled Yard Hotel, Berwick

We are situated 1 minute from the main thoroughfare of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The hotel is surrounded by the walls and ramparts built in Queen Elizabeth the 1st to protect Berwick.
We have a licensed bar and restaurant (with seating for 50) and are open all day, every day.
The bar was called the Rose & Thistle, no doubt to blend in with the area throughout its historical changes between Scotland and England. The original bar mirror is in the bar downstairs, another mirror found in the depths of the cellar hangs in room 4.
The Restaurant was originally the bar, and frequently used by the soldiers from the Barracks. The bar was fondly referred to as the ""Last Stop"". Our new bar area was once the Snug and frequented by the women folk who were not allowed to be seen in the bar. The entrance to the snug has been blocked off, but can be seen on the photo in the dining room.
