Canterbury Cathedral is a short 15 min journey away and the costal town of Whitstable, which is famous for it's oysters is a mere 10 minites by car. Leed's Castle, Dover Castle and Rochester Castle are all within a short journey by car. If you prefer to walk there is the Saxon shore walk that leads to the local marshland sanctuary with all it's many wildlife residents.
