Our B & B is situated on the banks of the River Cree in Newton Stewart, where frequently, you can find otters playing at the bottom of the garden!

The town centre is only a two minute walk across the river. Newton Stewart is a vibrant bustling little town with everything you would need, good food, friendly bars, cafes, cinema and even bike hire.

The surrounding area is an ideal spot for anyone wishing to enjoy outdoor pursuits.

As we are situated on the Banks of the River Cree, you can enjoy Salmon and Sea Trout fishing, you can get a day ticket at the local angling shop at a very affordable rate. We also boast some of the finest lochs in the Galloway Forest which are well stocked with trout.

Approximately 1 mile from us is the Seven Stanes Mountain Bike trail which is the 4th largest cycle track in the world and has some of the most exciting and challenging cycle routes.

Nearby you can enjoy a stroll on one of our quiet local beaches including Moss Yard or a little further field there is Ardwell Bay, Luce Bay, Port Patrick and many other beautiful places to visit.

The Galloway Forest Park has been given UK’s first ‘Dark Skies status’. Part of the Dark Skies Forrest Park is called Kirroughtree Forest and is only 1 mile away from the Bed and Breakfast. Alternatively, Clatteringshaws is approximately 12 miles from us.

Glen Trool and the Merrick offer some of the most outstanding views in the Galloway Forest where there are walks for everyone and a visitor’s centre to have a well deserved coffee when you have finished!
