Our cottage is located in the Cairngorm National Park, an area of wild landscape with mountains, rivers and lochs, with all the possibilities this allows in terms of outdoor pursuits. The Park also has some of the best wildlife to be seen in the UK. Our cottage is located in a quiet location above the traditional Highland village of Newtonmore. The cottage can accommodate families with up to 2 children or just a couple who want a bit more space.
The main thing our guests comment on is the views of the Cairngorm mountains, which can be seen from the cottage and garden. We are located above the village so these can be enjoyed in peace and quiet. In the foreground are sheep and lambs, as we are in a crofting area, together with lapwings, curlews, oyster catchers and hares. But also our guests also find the cottage well equipped, warm and comfortable, which is reflected in our recent 3* rating.
The majority of our guests come to walk or bike, which can be done from the door. The Newtonmore wildcat trail is only 200m from the house. And there is an unlimited number of local walks and rides.
This cottage is a family cottage best suited for a couple with up to 2 children; there is a king-size bed and one single in a large upstairs bedroom with one additional futon settee that can be set up either upstairs or downstairs. Downstairs is a toilet/shower room and living/ dining room. The cottage comes with a well equipped kitchen area, use of shared washing and drying facilities and outside parking and garden.
