Dale Cottage is an ideal base for a walking holiday, or just a get-away-from-it-all break. Set within the village community, yet in a remarkably peaceful location, and with lovely views, the cottage is cosy but fairly spacious. It has a kitchen and good-sized lounge, with an open fire. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and the other a smaller double, plus a newly renovated bathroom with bath, shower and underfloor heating.
The lovely cottage garden overlooking the dale provides a tranquil place to relax after a good walk.
Dogs are welcomed. Please note that the cottage is unlikely to be suitable for those with mobility problems, because of its location on a steep path.

Youlgrave is a great centre for a walking holiday, with three good pubs, shops and a post office, and a very friendly feel. From the cottage door you have a choice of walks along Bradford Dale, Lathkill Dale, to Stanton Moor or Haddon Hall, and an almost infinite choice of walks a little further afield.
The White Peak area of the Peak District is characterised by limestone dales, in contrast to the more rugged landscape of the dark Peak further north.
The towns of Bakewell - with its large Farmers' Market and quaint tea shops - and Matlock are within easy reach by car, bus or bike.
Chatsworth House - considered by many to be England's finest stately home - and the charming Haddon Hall are both within a 10-15 minute drive or, for the more energetic, a pleasant walk.
Not suitable for those with mobility problems, because situated 80 metres off road, down a steep cobbled path.
