Our three stone lodges nestle between the hillside and the sea. Rebuilt from the ruins of a cottage which stood empty for 140 years. They are traditional in appearance, but modern in comfort. The windows look out over the moored boats and Dun Head, where there are the remains of a pictish, vitrified fort.

Doune is a haven for walkers, divers, photographers and anyone with an interest in wildlife and the remote beauty of Scottish Highlands.

Accommodation includes 3 Stone Lodge rooms (2 double and 1 twin) and 1 single (occasional twin) room.
The Stone Lodge rooms have ensuite showers and toilets, and a gallery area with 2 additional beds suitable for children.
The single room has a wash basin but the shower and toilet are separate from the room.
All rooms provide direct views out to the sea.

A separate lodge, Doune Bay Lodge, which sleeps up to 14, is available for larger groups.

Meals are served in the award winning Doune Dining Room.
Breakfast includes home-made cereals, preserves, fresh fruit and a varied cooked grill.
Pack lunches comprise home-made filled rolls, baking, fruit and a drink. These are available after breakfast so you do not have to worry about food during the day.
Dinner comprises a carefully chosen single choice 3 course menu.
The menu varies through the week and alternative options are provided for vegetarians and those with special dietary constraints or preferences.
For dinner, start with a wonderful home-made soup or pate, Doune Bay crab, or a stunning salad, always served with our own bread rolls hot from the oven.
Main course specialities include traditional roasts of lamb or venison, rich casseroles, pies, and vast seafood buffets.
A delicious dessert will complement the main course and often makes use of soft fruit in season from our garden. T
This may be followed by a varied Scottish cheese board served with our own oatcakes. Finish with freshly brewed coffee or tea, or choose something different like freshly picked garden peppermint tea.

The dining room is licensed and we offer a carefully chosen selection of wines, spirits and local beers all at very reasonable prices.
