Kirriemuir is renound as the birthplace of J.M.Barrie - of Peter Pan fame. Bon Scott, founding lead singer of the band A.C/D.C.was born locally. This area is also famed for it's castles,(Glamis with it's famous Italian Gardens, Scone, House of Dun, Crathes,Blair Athol, Arbroath Abbey and Royal Deeside ),the ancient Standing Stones of the Picts, golf courses,(include Carnoustie,The Old Course,St. Andrews,Kirriemuir, Alyth, Rosemount Blairgowrie) hill walking,(in Glen Clova, Glen Doll, Glen Prosen,Glenisla and the Cataran Trail) bird watching,(Lintrathen Loch, Kinnordy Loch, Reswallie, Montrose Basin) fishing and game shooting. We are easily found on the B951 Kirriemuir - Glenisla / Braemar road, 5 miles west of Kirriemuir and within easy reach of the Glenshee ski slopes.
