Folly Farm Centre

An enchanting 250 acre nature reserve, rich in wildflower meadows, ancient woodland and wonderful wildlife, surrounds the centre on all sides and there are fantastic views over towards Chew Valley Lake. There really is nowhere else like it.

Beautifully converted long cow sheds, which date back to the 18th Century and retain many original features, provide 10 delightful self-catering studios.

The recently refurbished period farmhouse retains many of its original features and offers comfortable en suite bed and breakfast accommodation, including 3 family rooms.

There are several purpose-built group meeting, training and conference suites to choose from, as well as a relaxing lounge and self-service bar offering a great range of organic wines, beers, ciders and soft drinks.

Biomass central heating, solar hot water, rainwater harvesting and willow beds for treating waste water are just a few of the accommodation’s eco-features. And all profits go to support the work of Avon Wildlife Trust, which owns Folly Farm.

So, when you choose to stay at this centre, you’ll be making a real difference by supporting crucially important ecological and conservation work both at Folly Farm and across the region.

If you’re looking to enjoy the beautiful Somerset countryside, steeped in history, myth and legend, then Folly Farm’s the perfect base from which to explore the stunning natural beauty of the Chew Valley and majestic Mendips. Awe-inspiring Cheddar Gorge, mystical Glastonbury and the cathedral city of Wells are all on the doorstep.

And for the culture vultures amongst you, vibrant Bristol and gentile Bath - two of England’s main cultural centres - are both close by. Enjoy their theatres, galleries, museums and excellent live music scenes.
