Granary Cottage - sleeps 6

The 12th Century Werngochlyn - only three miles from Abergavenny and ½ hour from the Severn Bridge, is a small farm set in the middle of rolling farmland with the Skirrid Mountain as a stunning backdrop.

There is a heated indoor swimming pool, games room, plenty of room to sit out and have a barbeque, with ample parking. A stream runs through the farmyard and there are plenty of friendly farm animals to get to know - Paradise for children!

We run a BHS Approved Riding School and Livery Yard specialising in individual tuition for all ages from 4 years old, with an indoor and outdoor riding arena.

An 18 hole Golf Course and Driving Range is only ½ mile away.

Granary Cottage is one of four fully-equipped self-catering cottages set around the farmyard sleeping 4-6. (Extras can be accommodated on camp-beds or in the Farmhouse.) All tastefully converted from old stone farm buildings with stone walls and revealed beams, centrally-heated - cosy enough for a Winter break, or to return to on a rainy summer’s evening. Dogs welcome!

The cottage is laid out on one level with wheelchair access. French doors open out from the living room. The cottage is the largest of four self-catering units on the farm and is an ideal base for larger family parties who might take up more than one property.

There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. fully fitted kitchen with standard cooker, microwave and dishwasher. There is a large family sitting room with dining area with colour TV/DVD.

The price includes heating, electricity and bed linen.

Pets are welcome! (Including ponies or horses that can be accommodated in our Riding School and Livery Yard!)

The Farm has it's own riding centre with individual tuition for children over 4 as well as (lightweight!) adults. There are trecking centres nearby for enjoying the mountains on the back of a horse! Footpaths criss-cross the farm - with Offa's Dyke nearby. From your cottage you may walk up the Skirrid Mountain with fantastic views across 3 counties - or to the Walnut Tree (a Michelin starred restaurant!) (There are a wealth of good restaurants to sample nearby!)
