Unusual Holiday Accommodation - Rijnstroom IV is a 92ft long by 18ft wide original Dutch barge built in Rotterdam, Holland in 1922, and now renovated and restored to become a popular holiday base offering Bed and Breakfast (B & B) and Self Catering (S/C) accommodation in Bembridge, on the Isle of Wight, Hampshire.

Self-Catering accommodation in AUGUST only in 2012. Max capicity for Self catering is 10 persons. £125.00 per person per week, subject to minimum charge of £750.00 Check-in from 3pm Friday to 10am Friday.


B & B: Check-in from 3pm. Check-out at 10am. Secure bag-drop throughout the day.
B&B accommodation available throughout the year except August. Max capacity for B&B 10 persons.

Wheelhouse
The accommodation comprises an entrance from the starboard side into the Wheelhouse. This is situated above the engine room and contains all the engine, navigation and helm controls. It has a large comfy bench seat offering stunning panoramic views across the Solent to Portsmouth and surrounding landscape. She also has stairways to the Saloon and the Captains cabin.

Captains Cabin
Snugly situated at the stern of the barge behind the wheel house. This neatly decorated cabin offers a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bench seat and has its own shower and toilet.

Saloon
Spacious, open plan living area which is comfortably furnished with 3 leather sofas. A fold away dining table provides seating for 12 people with a further 6 places around the Breakfast Bar in the Galley. There is a colour television, DVD player, Video player and stereo sound system for guests to use as well as numerous films and books.

Galley
Situated at the end of the saloon, it is a modern fully fitted and very well equipped kitchen which benefits from a fridge, microwave, oven and hob, full place settings for 12 people.

Owners Suite.
Situated in the bow of the barge, containing two tastefully decorated cabins. The Master cabin has a double bed and the First Mates Cabin has twin beds. Both have ample furniture.

Botswain’s Cabin
A snug compact cabin with double bed, wardrobe, drawers and bedside tables.

The snug
This room provides access to the Owners and Botswaines Cabin, has two pilot bunks with curtain divider, drawers and hanging space.

Crew Cabin
Containing twin full-size bunks, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables.

Bathroom
Fully equipped with hot and cold water, full size bath, shower, wash basin and flush toilet.

Sundeck
Externally, the barge has a huge sundeck in front of the wheelhouse. It has a large wooden table with ample bench seats and easy chairs. It also has a gas BBQ.

All cabins benefit from ample natural light, central heating via radiators and mains power.
