Quietly nestling in its own garden, surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape, Little Pudding Cottage is the last cottage on a single-track road leading onto National Trust moorland. Enjoying beautiful views in every direction with wonderful walks straight from the door - Little Pudding Cottage is an inspirational holiday haven for walkers, cyclists, honeymooners, birdwatchers, artists, families or those looking for complete rest and relaxation. Whilst private and secluded with no close neighbours, Little Pudding Cottage is just 3.5 miles from the 12th century Red Lion pub, which offers good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The cottage is very well equipped, often described as a home from home, with comfortable furniture and attention to detail, which combined with the stunning surrounds ensure a holiday to remember.

Little Pudding Cottage isn't reliant on mains services (we have a generator for electric which we charge up before your visit and water supply comes from our own borehole and solar panels/wood burner to heat water) and we do not plan on connecting up in the future but this does not affect our guests comfort in any way.

Satellite broadband has now been installed providing telephone, internet and TV facilities for those wanting to stay in touch with the outside world - for those that don't, simply leave it unplugged!!!
Little Pudding Cottage sleeps 4 (+2/3). King size double bed with room for camp bed and cot and small double bed with room for camp bed (cottage perfect for 2 couples with young children)
Downstairs you will find a cosy lounge/diner with wood burning stove, comfy seating including two leather sofas and arm chairs and an original raised flagstone hearth with a well stocked bookcase. The large dining table is perfect for eating in or for playing one of the numerous board games with seating for 6 (high chair available if required)
Well equipped kitchen with gas oven and hob and separate utility room with fridge/freezer, microwave (there is a small camping washing machine with dryer if needed) and room for boots, coats and pets!
There is a wide selection of maps and tourist information including menus and opening hours from local restaurants and pubs together with DVDs , CDs, games, books and puzzles.
Shower room (no bath) with toilet and bidet

Plenty of bed linen and towels and tea towels are provided.
Outside is a fully enclosed garden with ample parking. An outbuilding housing the generator for electric and boot room. There is plentiful garden furniture and seating areas, BBQ and picnic facilities and a pretty summerhouse with panoramic views. A vegetable patch to sample seasonal vegetables and herbs is available for guests to enjoy and outdoor games including badminton, garden chess, table tennis and paddling pool ensure the children and adults alike can have some fun in the fresh air.
Pets welcome - sheep are roaming in the surrounding countryside so dogs should be under close control at all times.
We also have a resident pheasant, Phillip who pops by for his dinner, he sometimes taps on the kitchen window if he's really hungry and will eat from your hand once used to you (although he can be a bit rough, so we don't recommend small children feed him!!)
