Mumbles is the largest of the Gower villages and Periwinkle Cottage occupies an enviable position away from the hustle and bustle but still within easy walking distance of all the village amenities. Mumbles boasts a plethora of restaurants, cafes, delis, galleries and boutiques as well as supermarkets and banks. Promenade along the sea front to the pier and onto the lighthouse, explore the ruins of Oystermouth Castle or walk the coastal paths and enjoy the magnificent views across to Devon. Mumbles is an established base for families and couples looking for a romantic break, walkers, watersports and sailing enthusiasts and Swansea is only a few miles away with all the benefits of the city. Access statement
Periwinkle Cottage is an end of terrace cottage on a hill overlooking Swansea Bay and backing on to woods. It is approached up a steep lane and is not recommended for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. There is a terraced rear garden rising up behind the cottage, with two seating levels, accessed by paved and wooden steps with a handrail and outside lighting - very young children would need to be supervised. A highchair, stairgate and travel cot are provided. There is one bathroom on the first floor. Private parking is available immediately outside the cottage. Quiet location, bus stop 3 minutes away. 5 minutes walk downhill to sea front and village. 25- 30 minutes walk to Caswell and Langland Bays
