Nestling between the magnificent valleys of Dovedale and the Manifold Rivers and surrounded by National Trust, you only need to walk out of the front door to experience some of the finest walks around. The National Trust Park of Ilam and both rivers are only a short walk away. The country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away and for the more adventurous Alton Towers.
The Barns are fitted out to a very high standard with beautiful furnishings. The conversions retain a wealth of individual charm, with exposed beams, wooden and flagged floors throughout, which all enhance the ambience of the barns. In addition the fabrics have been carefully coordinated with antique furnishings to enhance the appeal of these very individual barns. All have luxury fittings, with gas log burning stoves, CD players, TV (freeview), DVD and video player with the use of a video library. dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, Stone purpose built BBQ's, Duvets and linen are provided. There is a central utility area with a telephone, chest freezer, washing machines, dryers and airers, cots and highchairs. In addition there is a games room with Air Hockey and a superleague pool table.
Outside there are enclosed decking areas with garden furniture and BBQ's. There is a seperate garden with safe childrens play areas and picnic tables. A two acre paddock (mown when weather permits) ideal for playing games and a larger children’s play area. The farm grounds extend to over 20 acres and guests are welcome to explore. We have a ménage of farm animals, pet Alpacas, sheep ducks, and chickens. Children can enjoy helping to feed them & the lambs during lambing season. Feeding the Ducks and collecting eggs is a must! Pets welcome by arrangement. Be assured of a warm welcome where nothing is a problem.
