Lyndale Gate Lodge - Isle of Skye

Camus Mor (Lyndale shore) is reached either by a stroll down the peaceful wooded driveway or by the more open track above the lodge, with its views to the Outer Isles. The shore is abounds with wildlife, in particular sea birds and seals, and if you are very lucky even an otter.

Walking and climbing in the Quaraing or the Cuillins affords spectacular views. The nearby riding center can organize a hill ride on the back of a Highland Pony, what better way to enjoy the scenery. Fishing permits are available for lochs and local rivers and fishing trips can be arranged, of course you may just prefer to drop in a line from the rocks on the shore. Golf can be played at the nearby Skeabost Hotel with its 9-hole golf course. The history and legends of the island are well represented by many local museums, crafting and historic sites. Nearby Edinbane has regular ceilidhs during the season. Portree, the main village, and Dunvegan with its castle the ancient seat if the Macleods, are both 9 miles away.

All in all an ideal place from which to explore the rest of the island.
