The Old School House, once a country school, now provides Northumberland accommodation and welcomes visitors in this quiet location close to the Scottish Border. On arrival at our accomoodation guests relax with tea and homemade scones either in front of the log fire in the drawing room or in the conservatory looking out over the lawns and walled garden. All the bedrooms are on the first floor with en-suite or with a private bathroom and a choice of double or twin beds.Television and tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. A wholesome breakfast is served in the dining room with a varied menu using locally produced food as available and cooked on the Aga.

Holy Island and the Farne Islands with the famous memory of Grace Darling and the sea rescue and also well known too for the bird life on the Farnes.Alnwick Gardens and the Abbeys and Castles make interesting exploring in this beautiful Scottish Borderland.
