Penventon farmhouse is several hundred years old, it is on the site of an old monastry, and the farmhouse is full of character. Look out towers for the Battle of Braddock Down (1643) were positioned near the site of the current farmhouse, the battle itself took place on parts of the farmland attached to Penventon.
