This comfortable 3-star lodge has a lounge/dining room with bright, modern furnishings and wood floor downstairs, and just one bedroom upstairs (double and single bed). It is very convenient to the licensed hotel, also to pier and island shop. The ideal base for walking or cycling in Colonsay - really peaceful and ideal for couples.

Area description
Colonsay is truly outstanding, rich in archaeology, geology, flora, birds and wildlife. Lovely sandy beaches, 18 hole links golf, trout and sea fishing, great walking, benign climate. Access is by large, modern RoRo ferry from Oban (railhead) and takes about 2hrs. Bookings in "Phoebe" are on a very flexible basis as regards days of arrival, departure and length of stay - but do not sell yourself short. You really need to stay for at least 5 nights to even start to do the island justice.
