Upstairs there is a comfortable double bedroom with 5ft bed and Velux windows. The bedroom has its own shower room and toilet. There is also a separate bathroom and toilet upstairs with over-bath shower and Velux window.

The cottage overlooks the Vale of Strathmore and is close to Kirriemuir, the Gateway to the Glens which is only a short walk away where winding narrow streets converge on the town centre leading to JM Barrie's birthplace. Superb golf courses, walking, riding and fishing can be enjoyed as well as good eating places in the immediate locality. Glamis Castle(5 miles) is well worth a visit. Perth and Dundee are both an easy drive away.
Why not visit ARBROATH ABBEY or walk by the harbour marina in Arbroath where the annual SEAFEST takes place? If you like royal history, why not take in a guided tour of GLAMIS CASTLE , childhood home of The Queen Mother, on your way back followed by a coffee in their award winning castle kitchen?
A visit to Dundee is a must . . see Captain Scott's famous ship R.R.S. DISCOVERY or slip back in time to the Jute industry at its height in the atmospheric VERDANT WORKS Jute Museum where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Dundee Weavers in the 19th Century.
KIRRIEMUIR and the GATEWAY TO THE GLENS MUSEUM , are only a short distance away where winding, narrow streets converge on the town centre leading to J M BARRIE's BIRTHPLACE . Kirrie, also known as 'The Wee Red Toun' also boasts a rare example of a CAMERA OBSCURA and one of the best coffee shops in the whole of Scotland: 88 Degrees
If GOLF is more to your liking there is a fine selection of Golf Courses to choose from at nearby CARNOUSTIE, FORFAR, GLENISLA, STRATHMORE, ALYTH and BLAIRGOWRIE. ST ANDREWS OLD COURSE and the world reknowned GLENEAGLES are within easy reach by car.
The ANGUS GLENS are a fantastic place to enjoy activities such as CLIMBING, HILL WALKING and a variety of RIVER, SEA and LOCH FISHING. There are many fine walks in the area with medium to hard hill climbing in the Glens including two Munros to conquer: DREISH and MAYAR.
The area boasts three separate Country Parks . . At MONIKIE COUNTRY PARK you can try your hand at watersports such as windsurfing and canoeing. CROMBIE COUNTRY PARK is ideal for nature walks and loch fishing. CAMPERDOWN WILDLIFE CENTRE hosts a variety of birds and animals to watch and enjoy.
For a leisurely day out in the car why not visit DUNKELD (40 mins), PITLOCHRY (75 mins) or THE HOUSE of BRUAR near Blair Atholl (90 mins). There are several ANTIQUE CENTRES in the area, most with good coffee shops or restaurants. PERTH, DUNDEE and PITLOCHRY all boast fine theatres for a wide range of tastes and there are modern CINEMAS nearby too.
The fascinating FALKIRK WHEEL is also within reach for a great outing and is certainly well worth a visit. If you can, make sure you travel by barge from the lower Forth and Clyde Canal and be raised up 115 ft to the higher Union Canal. There is a good cafe and an exciting playpark for children as well as a Sculpture Trail to follow.
