Polwartha Farmhouse

The house, off a hard track from the road, is a handsome upright square house erected around 1910 with granite walls two feet thick, perhaps with some of the stone from the old house. Inside, the sitting room has a granite fireplace for wood and coal. Outside, there are lawns on two sides, a meadow to one side & out-buildings & Badgers (another holiday cottage) about 80 yards away. There is plenty of garden and space for games.
Polwartha is comfortable, fully carpeted and regularly renovated. Downstairs the large sitting room stretches along one side of the house with open fireplace. TV. Beyond the dining room, the kitchen has dishwasher, modern units, electric cooker, microwave & a fridge/freezer. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a 5ft double bed, one with twin beds and a charming single, (the goose room) together with a fully tiled bathroom. Power shower over bath. Washing machine. A second separate WC is upstairs. A second washing machine with tumble drier is in a utility about 50 yards away, with a further W.C. and games room with pool table. This utility and games room is shared with Badgers. The house has telephone for incoming calls only.
There are lawns on both sides of the house, ample parking in the old farmyard and six acres of land (and perhaps some cattle) with the house. There are good views of the countryside. The house has oil-fired central heating to supplement the open fire for which there is plenty of wood. Dogs welcome.
