Property description
Rofford Lodge is an ideal holiday retreat, set amongst fir trees with lovely sunny enclosed garden, but just a 10 minute stroll into Yarmouth. The bright spacious open plan living area, good sized bedrooms, and three bathrooms make this lovely cottage ideal for families to holiday together. The pretty rear garden is an ideal place to sit and relax after exploring the beautiful coastline of the West Wight. Also lovely views and evening sun in the front garden.
Just minutes from the cottage is the sea promenade, with spectacular views across the Solent and mainland beyond. Across the road is a footpath that will lead you to the cycle way to Yarmouth & Freshwater which is along the route of the former railway line, this follows The Yar Estuary & river, which attracts walkers and bird watchers alike, and also provides a lovely walk on a summer evening.

Lounge area has three comfortable sofas, stairs to first floor. Dining area has large pine table & chairs, door to rear garden.
Kitchen area- Very well equipped with good range of floor & wall mounted units and breakfast bar with stools. Utility area with appliances.
Bedroom with 5ft bed, wardrobe & cheast of drawers.Ensuite with shower cubicle, WHB & WC.
First floor- Bedroom with twin beds, wardrobe & chest of drawers. Ensuite comprising of panel bath with shower mixer taps,WHB & WC.

Area description
Situated within walking distance of the historic and picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth, Packed with maritime history, this pretty harbour town offers a varied choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes and is home to many yachts and pleasure craft. A great vantage point to appreciate the town, harbour and unspoilt coastline is Yarmouth’s Victorian pier, which dates back to 1876 and is 700ft long.
Henry VIII built Yarmouth Castle as coastal defence and the Town Hall rebuilt in 1764 stands in the Square once used as a meat market until 1888. St.James Church (c1614) contains a fine white marble statue of Sir Robert Holmes, Governor of the Island in the late part of the 17th century.
Being so conveniently located, those seeking peace and quiet with miles of coastline and countryside to enjoy, Yarmouth is an ideal all year round resort. With the Yarmouth to Lymington car and passenger ferry docking in the harbour, holidaying with or without a car is easy. Places of interest and outstanding natural beauty include The Needles, Alum Bay with its coloured sands, chair lift and Pleasure Park, and Tennyson Down.
