Though the cottage is in a quiet off-road location it is centrally located with easy access to shops and restaurants, public transport, the island road network and coastal paths.
Shanklin Old Village boasts several inns and restaurants catering for intimate dinners or relaxed family meals.
Shanklin’s large, sandy beach is a few minutes’ stroll away.
Also very close by are Rylstone Gardens with its mini golf and tea garden; Shanklin Chine with its magnificent waterfall and stunning night illuminations; Shanklin theatre; high street shops.
The beach front can also be accessed via a cliff lift or a Dotto train which stops close by (summer season only).
Excellent coastal and cross country walks to e.g. Ventnor or Sandown can be taken directly from the cottage.
Shanklin train station is a short taxi ride away (10-15 minutes walk) and there is a bus stop 50 yards away with links to all the local towns, including Sandown and Ventnor.
