The Marina is by the River Exe Estuary on the seafront. Private and fishing boats, ferry, Water Taxi

At the eastern end of the seafront it was formerly a busy working dock and even had its own train link years ago. Now the area houses Exmouth Marina and the Shelly Beach (on the River side of the Marina).
The long-established Exe Sailing Club is based at this end of the seafront, and has a programme of regular meetings on the estuary.
A superb sight on a windy day when you can watch the skills of the local yachtsmen. The club stages regular national and international events and has produced many noted sailors, including Joe Glanville, who won a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
