The Cowal peninsula is the perfect location for a Scottish holiday. Easily accessible from Central Scotland by road, rail, bus and ferry, it has all the beautiful scenery, majestic coastline and varied leisure activities that make a break memorable.
Spinnaker View is in Innellan, 4 miles along the coast road from the major Cowal town of Dunoon, the 'Marine Gateway to the Highlands'. This makes it a perfect base for any holiday from a relaxing time to an extremely active break in the waters, forests and mountains of the area.
Innellan itself has two pubs/restaurants, a village shop, a golf course, tennis courts, forest walks, pebbly beaches, a bowling green and a pony-trekking centre. Nearby Dunoon has a swimming pool, many shops (including two supermarkets), restaurants, seafront attractions, cafes, putting, crazy golf and much, much more. During the summer months, the Waverley regularly stops at Dunoon pier to allow a passage on this historic Clyde paddle steamer.
Near Innellan (in Cowal, Bute and this part of the highlands and islands) are many gardens, outdoor centres, watersports facilities, golf courses and loads of beautiful, accessible coastline, forest and mountains. You can walk almost anywhere you like!
There's so much to see and do that you'll be spoilt for choice if you only have a week or two to explore.
