St. Aidan's Mission

Previously a boy’s school, church, post office and library this recently renovated 5 bedroom detached property on the edge of Wainstalls village, between Hebden Bridge, Halifax and Oxenhope boasts exceptional views across open fields. Large private gardens with parking for 3 cars, lawns, orchard and stream. The perfect place to unwind.
The house is on 3 floors with the majority of the top floor dedicated to a large lounge to make the most of the stunning views. It has an original beamed ceiling and there is a widescreen freeview TV, DVD player and CD/Radio for your entertainment whilst relaxing on the ample comfortable seating for 10 people.

The five bedrooms are organised to give maximum flexibility to our guests. The top floor also has a triple/family bedroom with 3 full size beds and equally stunning views.
The middle floor has 3 bedrooms: 1 single, 1 twin and 1 king size with walk-in wardrobe. There is a further twin bedroom on the bottom floor with feature stone wall and beamed ceiling. There is also a cot available on request.
There are two bathrooms located on the middle and bottom floors. One has a bath with an electric shower over, the other is a wet room with power shower.
The property has a fully equipped kitchen for those of you who want to make use of your culinary skills whilst away. Alternatively there are some excellent pubs in very close vicinity offering excellent meals, not to mention the many outstanding international restaurants within a 5 mile radius. The kitchen has all the time-saving gadgets: dish washer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave as well as a full size gas cooker.
To complement the kitchen we have a cosy dining room with ample space to seat 10 on the stylish Java dining furniture. A high chair is also available. There is also a piano in the dining room for the after dinner sing-a-long.
The property enjoys extensive southwest facing gardens with a large lawn area where you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine or eat al fresco. There is a large outside table available with ample chairs for everyone as well as some reclining chairs. There is also a stream at the bottom of the garden and extensive fruit bushes for your enjoyment.
Any length of stay can be catered for with flexible start date except over Christmas and New Year which are fixed as weekly bookings with start dates to make best use of the holiday periods - For 2009/10 these are Wednesday to Wednesday.
