The Milking Parlour is all on the ground floor and is the latest barn conversion at Cotterill Farm, a non-working farm of just 12 acres. It has an open-plan living area/kitchen, the latter definitely being of the very highest standard, with stone work-tops, stone sink solid wood units, dish-washer etc. It is extremely well-equipped, something often commented on by guests in the visitors book.

It has two good sized bedrooms, one double and one a single (although the latter was large enough to make as a double if the owners had wished). Again the shower room, which is en-suite to both bedrooms (i.e. two doors in and out) is large and has a spacious shower cubicle.

The cottage is incredibly warm and can be warmed up from cold within minutes, It has central heating, and to create an atmosphere, although definitely not needed, a log effect stove.

The mattresses are extra thick and bedding is of the highest quality.

The cottage is 300 yards up the owners' private drive To the side of the cottages is a large grassed and garden area, shared with the other cottages at Cotterill Farm with spectacular uninterrupted views over hills and dales for several miles.There is ample area for off-road parking.

In the Milking Parlour there are nine(!) highly organised information folders, partly written by the owners themselves who are lovers of the Peak. Guests have heaped praise on this source of information which ensure that even those who have stayed with us numerous times still find plenty new to do. Again the visitor book is littered with comments on how invaluable this information has been. Events lists are supplied in advance between May and September. Housekeeping and attention to detail is regarded by the owners, who strive to encourage return visits, as being of paramount importance as is their concern is to ensure guests have an excellent holiday. The owners constantly strive to improve standards and services offered; for example, and this is merely an example, good condition bicycles can be hired directly from the cottage at one half of the cost charged by commercial operators.
In the rentals charts a couple of sampe rentals have been given, highest and lowest. Please contact the owners for other weeks. Rentals include heating electricity and linen. There are discounts of £20 for two person occupancy, even if using both bedrooms (and £40 off for one person occupancy). (£15 and £20 for a short break)
