The surrounding North Cornwall coast is an area of scenic cliffs, wide sandy beaches, quiet coves and fishing villages. In spring time, the cliffs are clothed in wild flowers to the edge.
The Coastal Path (approximately 100 metres away) follows the cliff top westwards to Daymer Bay and on to Rock where the foot ferry runs a service to Padstow and the Camel Trail.

To the east and north, the path leads to the rugged headland of Pentire and beyond offering breath-taking views. Within easy reach are the quaint fishing villages of Port Quin and Port Isaac and King Arthur’s Castle at Tintagel. The many magnificent Cornish gardens and the Eden Project are within easy driving distance.
The Camel estuary offers opportunities for water sports, river trips, fishing and sailing. There are two golf courses near by, the championship St Enodoc courses and Polzeath’s Roserrow. Within the vicinity there is a wide range of shops, inns restaurants, (famous and otherwise) and excellent ready meal sources
Purpose built holiday beach house only one room apptoached by stairs. The remainder is on the ground floor. Easy movement inside but surrounding paths and lanes are eroded and not easy for wheel chairs.
