From the moment you step inside this cottage, a feeling of cosiness envelops you. The hand-made English Oak door leads into the Living Room. A solid oak floor gives the feeling of warmth, and the mix of antique and new furniture compliments this.
A modern sofa with plenty of cushions was chosen for chosen for it's comfort. With the paintwork done in Farrow and Ball, the door and window furniture hand made in England, the attention to detail has been meticulous. The windows have been glazed with the nearest thing to handmade you can get!
With most of the furniture in Oak, the warmth of the wood shines throughout the cottage. A large digital television with Freeview, radio with i pod dock are supplied, along with a selection of films and music to entertain you. Uncluttered comfort has been the aim.
The bedroom area has a beautiful English hand-crafted white wrought iron bed , and has side tables to match. Pure wool rugs to warm your feet and luxurious bed linen, along with silk cushions and throws make this a haven to relax in. With small windows overlooking your private garden area, you can lie in bed and view the outside in comfort!
The kitchen boasts a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment, and a host of ancillary equipment. Oven with ceramic touch-control hob and extractor. A larger freezer, ironing board and iron, tumble dryer and space for suitcases is provided in The Old Bakehouse opposite the cottage, along with the recycling boxes. You even have a water filter jug! An apron to protect your clothes has thoughtfully been provided, along with tea towels, dishcloths etc. Wedgewood china, delicate glassware – home from home! A delightful room in which to cook and enjoy conversation over a glass of wine- if you don't fancy cooking, we have a range of pre-prepared meals, perfect after a day out – see our “extras” section.
The bathroom is a vision in White! Colourful glass tiles give a warm feeling to the clean, bright room, and the enormous walk-in shower is a delight to use. Brilliantly-coloured thick, fluffy towels, a mirror with in-built lights, and flush ceiling lights give this room a sleek elegance.

There is a bus stop within 50 yards of the cottages, which will take you to Canterbury, Sandwich and surrounding areas
Wingham Country Market. Our local farm shop, with an extensive variety of organic produce, from household cleaning products to their own-grown fruit and veg, and fresh bread – 2/3 minutes walk.
Wingham Wildlife Park.
This is a delightful family-run park just down the road from us – about 10 minutes walk. Even has a crocodile, and meerkats!
Wingham Village. (a little further, around 25 minutes) A beautiful medieval village full of timber-framed houses,dominated by the huge Norman church, flanking a wide tree lined main street . A village shop, newsagents, pubs with restaurants, and a very good Indian restaurant are among it's attractions.
By Car/Taxi
Village of Ash, in the other direction. Three minutes by car – has a small co-op, village shop, chemist, post office, hardware shop and hairdressers.
Canterbury, only 7 miles away, is a thriving bustling City, with good shopping, large number of restaurants, public houses, dominated by the large and famous Cathedral. Ample inner city parking + excellent Park & Ride system.
Medieval Sandwich, (5 miles away) very important town in the Middle Ages, one of the five Cinque Ports. Quaint narrow streets specialist shops and old houses make a visit very enjoyable with ample cafes, restaurants/public houses renew the sightseeing spirit. Venue of 2011 British Open Golf Championship.
