From Menifters a footpath takes you down to the sea, through the fields, to the picturesque village of Porthallow Cove where you will find our village pub (food in the summer). The walk takes about 30 minutes, however if you are planning to return at dusk bring a torch. You can also walk to Porthallow Cove via the almost traffic free lanes, which also takes about 30 minutes.

The nearby village of St Keverne has a convenience store, post office, news agent, two pubs (both do food all year), an organic restaurant and a butchers.

We are 5 miles from the Helford River with its peaceful creeks and wooded shores. From Helford you can take a ferry across the River and walk to the gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah. Or, they can be reached by car in about 40 minutes.

Also the Lizard Peninsular has the beautiful Keynance Cove just a few miles from Lizard village, which takes 30 minutes by car.

On the Lizard you are never very far from the South West Coastal footpath. The nearest point from Menifters is Porthallow Cove which is also the mid point of the South West coastl footpath.
