The Kimberley Guest House, Blackpool

Our aim is to always provide a high standard of quality,comfort and cleanliness so as to enable guests to have an enjoyable stay in relaxed surroundings at The Kimberley.

We are situated in an Avenue of similar guest houses to the north of Blackpool,which is generally known as the quieter side of the resort. Yet we are in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of the town centre and entertainment venues. Just one street back from the promenade we are within a short distance of the tramway and the bus services to the south towards the town centre and Pleasure Beach and to the north,Cleveleys and Fleetwood.

Our six rooms are either full en-suite or have their own private and lockable bathroom facilities a couple of steps away from the bedroom.

All rooms are decorated and maintained to a high standard and all have television,hair dryers, tea/coffee making facilities and radio/alarm clocks. All rooms have individually controllable heating radiators. However there are times especially in the summer months when the heating is turned off. Should you do feel a chill at this time please tell us as it only takes a flick of a switch to keep you warm.

There are sixteen steps to the first floor (approx 7") which is made up of one double en-suite,one larger double en-suite which can also be used as a family room and one double room with its own private bathroom a couple of steps away from the bedroom.. All bathrooms are provided with toiletries and towels.

On the top floor a further fourteen steps up we have similar rooms with the same layout as the first floor.

We offer a bed and breakfast service only. The breakfast of your choice is served at your own table at 9a.m. but other times can be arranged to meet your needs. Please inform us of any dietary needs when booking so that arrangements can be made for the purchase of diets foods.

As we do not offer evening meals,we encourage guests to use our dining room for the purpose of consuming take-away meals (up to 9.30p.m.). We ask you not to consume such meals including pizzas in the bedrooms as the strong aroma emanates everywhere. Sandwiches and biscuits etc; we do not mind.

We are not licensed to sell intoxicants. However,we have no objection to guests bringing in their own nightcap to ther room or indeed to the guests lounge if they so wish.

Owing to the size,age and costruction of The Kimberley,it does not readily lend itself for alteration to accommodate the physically disabled. This is not to say that we no not cater for the disabled. Our description of the property is given for the purpose of informing people who then have an idea of the layout of the premises. If they can cope then we will do all that we can to assist them.

We do not have private parking facilities.However,there is on street parking and a public car park about 300 metres away at very good rates.

As a result of continuing improvements in The Kimberley,and the care and service given to guests we hold a four star accreditation with Visit England. While we receive great personal satisfaction on this achievement we are nevertheless ever mindful that ultimately it is our guests who decide our success by returning to us year after year.
