Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the oak-panelled dining-room, in the original Blacksmith's cottage. Upstairs, the extremely comfortable bedrooms all have en-suite shower rooms, and are fully fitted, including Freeview TV, courtesy drinks tray, clock radio, hairdryer.
HOLIDAY COTTAGES.Three Star. SHOWN ON AVAILABILITY CALENDAR
Anvil and Horse-shoe cottages are cosy cottages for 2, converted from the stables accross the courtyard.They are centrally heated and have constant hot water. The double bedroom is up a short flight of stairs.The bathroom, with shower over the bath, is on the ground floor, along with the open plan living room and fully fitted kitchen.Light and airy they both have their own patio and BBQ area.
We welcome well-behaved dogs into Horse-shoe cottage.
All our guests are allocated a parking space in the courtyard, and are welcome to leave their car behind for the day and make use of our excellent local transport.

Area description
The Old Forge Guest House and Cottages are ideally situated to visit many places of interest within a 30 mile radius, and many much closer. The historic walled city of York, astride the river Ouse,with it's many attractions including the Railway and Viking Museums.Wonderful old streets and shops, and many coffee shops and restaurants. Make use of the excellent "Park and Ride",and enjoy a wander round the ancient streets and City Walls.
Take the Steam Railway accross the moors and visit Whitby, home of Captain Cook!, for incredible fish and chips.
The historic town of Pickering and it's castle, Antique shops, award winning Beck Isle museum,Trout Fishing, or just sit and watch the incredibly large family of ducks!
Dalby Forest is virtually outside our back door,is great for walking, cycling, a picnic, or lunch in the excellent Visitors Centre. We have great Concerts there, and National and International cycling.
There are seven famous Gardens of Yorkshire within easy travelling.
Seaside resorts are as near as half an hour.
There is just too much to do for one visit!
