Property description
Stunning converted watermill situated in its very own tidal creek on the banks of the river Fowey. 7 bedroomed house accommodating up to 16. Lodge accommodating up to 5. Access by
boat or by footpath, boat transfer included in holiday. Dogs welcome, acres of woodland. Fishing, Canoes on site. Parking in nearby village of Golant.No vehicular access keeps The old Sawmills a unique and magical hideaway.
The accommodation in the main house comprises 3 ensuite bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms, 1 room with bunkbeds sleeping 2, and a room with bunks and bed sleeping up to 4. There is also a family bathroom and an additional shower room and toilet.
All rooms have flat screen TV/DVD. There is a fully equipt kitchen with double oven, large hob, dishwasher etc. A conservatoty with large dining table and a Lounge. Laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
There is also a patio with picnic table, barbeque terrace and large lawn. Nearly all rooms enjoy spectacular waterside views.
The lodge, situated on the edge of woodland over looking a medieval quay, is in the corner of the creek it has a fully equipt kitchen/lounge with woodburning stove 2 bedrooms and showeroom with walk in shower.

Area description
The old Sawmills is a haven of tranquility surrounded by water and acres of natural woodland.
It is also the home of the famous recording studio where everyone from the Stone roses to Oasis and Muse have resided.
Fishing and canoeing can be enjoyed in the creek.
Excellent scenic walks, crossing fabulous countryside can be joined from the grounds, including the last leg of "the saints way" which ends in the picturesque and historic port of Fowey. Fowey can also be reached by boat from the Sawmills, here there are a wealth of shops, galleries, cafes, restaraunts and pubs.
Readymoney beach is just a shortwalk out of town.
The Fishermans Arms is a charming riverside pub serving food and is just a 15 minute walk away in the pretty village of Golant where the Sawmills parking can be found.
The old Sawmills is within reach of The Eden Project,one of Cornwalls major tourist attractions. There are many sandy beaches nearby, miles of coastal path. Bike hire at Wadebridge or Bodmin that follows the Camel trail to Padstow. There are many gardens to visit locally including the Lost Gardens of Heligan near St Austell. Surfing beaches in Polzeath and Newquay can be reached in 40 minutes.
Lanhydrock Golf course is a 10 minute drive away.
