* Fishing – Coarse and fly, own 100m riverbank (see photo alongside), free Dolgellau Angling Association permit to 13 miles river and spectacular lake, salmon, sea and brown trout, perch (lake).
* Games – ideal garden for treasure hunts, flat area of lawn for ball games, and Dolgellau’s spacious nearby recreation green.
* Golf – Dolgellau, Aberdovey, Borth, Harlech.
* Horse riding – Arthog, Dyffryn.
* Mountain-biking – Coed y Brenin (see photo below, left), Cli-machx, Mach, Nant yr Arian, Gwydyr.
