Valley View

The three centrally heated cottages are part of an C16th barn conversion, originally the old barn for the farm just up the lane. They are set back from the lane and all have views over the fields opposite and right down the valley. The cottages also look down to the River Ceiriog and up to the craggy rocks of the hills on the other side of the valley.

The area is a haven for wildlife - the cottages are visited by a large number of wild birds throughout the day. There is a resident owl who lives in our woods next to the cottages who can be heard softly hooting just about every night.

The three stone holiday cottages are only five miles from the world famous Llangollen, in Wales, near the Welsh/English border and not far from Oswestry. The Ceiriog Valley is a world away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life, yet less than 90 minutes from Birmingham or Manchester.The Ceiriog valley and surrounding areas are wonderful for relaxing, walking or exploring the interesting and historic sites and places nearby.

There are a number of country pubs, all serving food, within a five or ten minute drive, two of which are within walking distance (just over a mile), partly along the old Ceiriog Valley Tramway by the river. There is an excellent, very reasonably priced taxi service in the area if you wish to go further and there is also a bus stop outside the farm just down the lane. The nearest shop is open seven days a week and is just over a mile distance. There are numerous walks right from the doorstep leading in virtually all directions.

Just a couple of minutes walk away is Pandy Mill, which was a fulling mill dating from 1365 and is now an independent art gallery specialising in glass art, paintings, textiles, and sculptures in wood, together with a comfortable tea room overlooking the Rivers Ceiriog and Teirw.
