Property description
West Cottage is a four star rated cottage adjoining a Georgian listed property. It is very well equipped and tastefully decorated.
You enter into a large lounge featuring recessed ceiling lights, exposed beams, wood flooring, 3 piece suite, fireplace with stove effect electric fire, Digital TV with freeview, DVD player, CD stereo system with iPod connector, and Wireless internet throughout. Books and CD's are available.
Off the lounge is the spacious fully equipped Kitchen/Diner with fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric fan assisted oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, ironing board and iron. The dining area consists of a pine table and 6 chairs. High chair available.
The open tread wooden staircase leads onto the first floor. Off the landing corridor there are two bedrooms. The master double bedroom is complete with pine furniture and Digital TV with freeview and DVD. There is an adjoining mezzanine overlooking the staircase with sofa bed suitable for children. The second bedroom has two single beds, and is finished with pine furniture. The large shower room is also located off the central corridor. West Cottage comes complete with linen and towels. A travel cot is available on request.
There is a patio overlooking the garden with hardwood table, chairs, and parasol. A charcoal barbeque is available on request. In the lane next to the cottage there is off road parking for up to four cars.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
We can accommodate short breaks in the cottage at a cost of £70 per night, subject to availability. Well behaved dogs welcome by prior arrangement at a cost of £15 per dog, but must not be left unattended.

West Cottage is situated three miles to the east of Carlisle on the outskirts of the village of Cumwhinton. The village has a shop/post office and a pub which serves good food. West Cottage provides a perfect base for exploring the Border City of Carlisle, UNESCO World Heritage Site Hadrian's Wall, The Lake District National Park, The Solway Coast, The Eden Valley, The Scottish Borders and the famous Gretna Green.
