The Trossachs, sometimes known as “The Highlands in Minature”are situated on the physical boundary between the Highlands and the Lowlands of Scotland.
The Trossachs has traditionally been taken to include the wider area of wooded glens and hills bounded to the west by Loch Lomond, to the east by Callander and to the south to Aberfoyle and the Loch Ard Forest.
Nowadays, The Trossachs are a haven for walkers, cyclists, photographers, wildlife enthusiasts and many other outdoor pursuit seekers and hosts a huge number of events and festivals both indoor and outdoor each year.
