we(3 generations) spent a really lovely week together in Myrtle House last week. The facilities internally/externally were excellent and the 2 lounges, 2 TVs and internet access meant everyone was able to find a quiet space to "do thier own thing". Sam (9) wanted to play on his computer in the morning and Clare needed to write her thesis, whilst Ellie(6) wanted to watch the early morning CBBs and we wanted to sit and enjoy our breakfast in the homely kitchen. Days were spent around the garden/fields, or visiting local areas (Taunton only 16mins by car!). The 2 min walk to the post office shop and 3mins to the local pub all added to the ease of the week! (Both pubs in walking distance worth a visit). The children loved the hide at Chard Reservoir and the fossil hunting at Lyme Regis. We were lucky with the weather as well. When Clare and family drove down the lane upon arrival, she stopped outside the house and said "I wish this was where were staying" as the the house looked so idyllic, and Matt said "I think it is!!". First impressions were upheld. We will definately be returning!

We had a lovely week here. Really well equipped and appointed. There was enough space for all of us and we didn't feel like we got under each other's feet. My 3 year old nephew was delighted with the cows in the next door field. Lovely farm shop in Broadway and the 5 dials pub is fabulous. The highlight is Brian, who looks after the house! Liz
