An easy stroll will bring you to the local village inn which serves good food, with further ample facilities in nearby Penrith, known as 'The Gateway to the Northern Lakes', including swimming pool, golf course, ample shopping and open-air markets. Situated in a fantastic area for cycle touring and mountain biking with a large network of quiet lanes and off road; for fell walkers Blencathra and Helvellyn are within easy reach. The cottage has a lovely lawned garden for relaxing in after a day exploring the splendid scenery of the Lake District National Park.
