The esplanade runs along the beach and is ideal for walking either to the town and harbour, or to gardens and tea rooms in the other direction, there are many places to eat and sit out. In and around the town there are many activities for rainy or sunny days.Dorset is famous for it's Jurassic Coast.The dramatic cliffs, long beaches and charming towns. The Queen visited Weymouth in June 2009. The sailing olympics are to be held in Weymouth and Portland.
